When a woman goes too far in her heels
I love wearing heels, but sometimes I would rather go barefoot.
A few weeks ago, I put on a pair of five-inchers. After walking for a bit, I was doing all I can to keep smiling. By the time I got home and could kick the shoes off, I had six blisters all over feet!
The shoes are pretty though so I tried again. After the cuts had healed, I stuck on eight plasters and put them on. Gorgeous.
Off I went to have fun. And you know what? Even with 8 plasters, I still came home with 4 excruciatingly painful blisters.
Never again! I am never wearing shoes again.

My usual heels are quite comfortable, I think can even go trekking in it. It’s just this particular pair that cuts.

I’m so damn afraid of heels that I’ve never worn more than one in my entire life. And that was a wedge (although it was 5 inches high). I now stick with the usual 1 in heeled flats and comfy boots!

Hi Ivy, what a pretty avatar you have. 1-inch kitten heels are pretty too, are boots really comfortable? Or are you talking about those huge Doc Marten’s / Caterpillar type of boots?

Thanks! I don’t wear those doc martens not even uggs (unless it’s for trudging thru snow). They’re hideous monsters!!! Hahaha! I’m talking about fall/autumn ankle boots. They’re fashionable and comfortable, if they’re not too high. Since boots generally provide ankle support, it’s very unlikely that I’ll fall. (As you can see, balance is not my forte.) So I looove boots! :)

Depends what you wear of course. Ankle boots can’t go with three quarter skirts and pants. It’ll definitely make you look shorter. If you wear short/skirts/dresses that are above the knee, it’ll elongate your legs.
And you’ll have to look at the boots itself. Some ankle boots are above your ankles, some are at your ankles. So you gotta just try out different ones to see which looks better.
I have very big, muscular calves but very small ankles, so I wear ankle boots that are slightly above my ankle to covers the smaller bit of my ankle and make me look more proportional. :)
