The first time I bought a party dress for myself was when I needed something to wear for a friend’s sweet sixteen party. It was a little black number, simple and sweet.

I would say this dress is the most valuable item in my closet right now. I still pull it on when I can’t figure out what to wear. It fits into every occasion and place.

I wear it when I am shopping for new clothes because it is so easy to pull on and off when I need to keep changing clothes. It is what clothes me when I’m off for a date at the cinema or to a new café for a slice of cake. I even pack it with me when I’m traveling.

The dress is vintage by now. I have worn it for thirteen years yet the color haven’t faded and the cloth is still thick.

Two weeks ago, my teenage cousin whined said that she needed a black outfit for her first dress-up Halloween Party. Well, guess what I pulled out of the closet for her? Lol!

The smart girl wore it with a red cape, black vest, black tights and fierce horns. On the left is a photo of my cousin and a friend at the Halloween Party.

I think her friend came dressed as a career woman. So scary!
