After registering, we had some time to linger and try out the new laptops that comes with the Intel Centrino 2 Montevina.

Don’t ask me why there is a picture of a kettle next to the NEC one.
Before the presentation began, Director of Intel South East Asia, Debjani Ghosh, took the trouble to meet us in person and introduce herself.
She’s the lady with the microphone hooked to her blouse. Debjani was very casual which fitted the relaxing environment yet her presentation is no less informative.
To find out what I discovered about the Intel Centrino 2 from Debjani’s presentation, read all about it on my CNET Asia blog.
As you know, after the presentation, we boarded the Sardinia to try out wireless broadband at sea, provided by Qmax. Internet at up to 1000k download / 512k upload speed. *jaw drop*

See this picture of calm and serenity as I checked my emails at sea? The truth is nothing like that!
The boat was so rocky, I was bouncing up and down and almost thrown off! I could hardly aim my fingers on the keys! luv.hillary @ gmail became kuvljo;;aryu@hgjail, haha!

In this photo, Lynn was holding the railing tightly while I was holding her waist tightly. It was all we could do to stay standing.
For a split second, I WAS looking at the camera but the photographer who wasn’t holding on to anything was bounded from place to place. Trust me, this is as good as it gets.
We didn’t get to surf the internet much but I’m sure with the Intel Centrino 2 and the Wireless Broadband from QMax, it is really really fast.
20 minutes later, we got off and had lunch at the marina club. For the rest of the day, my work desk rocked left and right. ![]()

Wah… that’s fast and what broadband should be. Have you tried Malaysia’s Streamyx?! It sucks!
