Lunch Alone

The youngest partner that Deloitte Consulting ever had, Keith Ferazzi, wrote a book on why we should never eat lunch alone. All of a sudden, executives all over the world are scrambling for lunch partners.

I’m not even the sort who think too much about my lunch. Lunch tends to happen at the hour when I’ve got my energy revved up for work. Lunch tends to interrupt the momentum. I tend to gobble down my lunch inappreciatively within minutes and seconds.

After hearing what Keith said though, I took a good long look at my lunch. All of a sudden, the bowl of fish ball noodles look so tiny and insignificant. Or perhaps the bowl is reflecting my own emotions.

This peer pressure from Keith Ferazzi is really starting to annoy me.
