Swimming at Upeh Guling Waterfall and Tasik Air Biru Blue Water Lake, Taman Negara Endau-Rompin

We caught a glimpse of the waterfall. Only about 50 meters away now. I stopped to snap a photo but everyone hurried me. We almost skipped there in our slippers, we were so excited to arrive. All the leech bites that we had gotten along the way are worth the cool water here.

The guide told us not to dive in as the water could carry us very far away. We mildly dipped our feet in the rough water. I dipped my feet in and got bitten by a fish. Ow!
All right then, I’ll wash my hair instead. :)

The pounding of the water had created swirly patterns on the rocks.

We spent about 45 minutes here. The boyf and I spent much of that time picking leeches off each other’s feet. How romantic. :)
We didn’t really want to leave Upeh Guling, but Tasik Air Biru is so near. A swim here is only about 15 minutes away. At Tasik Air Biru…

Aaah… It felt like kilos of burdens melted off my body the moment I dived in. I floated, splashed and frolicked. The cool wetness is even more of a treat on such a sparkling hot day.
But eventually, we had to leave. We took the boat ride back and hey!

Who’s that hanging onto my calf?
Hey Cheng Leng, sounds like so much fun! I must say that I am terrified to take a dip – I am phobic of deep waters – and what might be lurking underneath :P . Was the Tasik Air Biru deep?
Hi Geeta, the water at Tasik Air Biru starts shallow but it gets deeper. At the deepest part in the middle, it feels almost bottomless although I didn’t look inside to see how deep it was. It’s a pretty small lake though, you won’t have to worry about things lurking underneath.
How are you my old friend? :)
