Spectating for the National Basketball League, Singapore Indoor Stadium

Yesterday was my first time ever as the spectator of a sport. It was the National Basketball League and Singapore Slingers played the Melbourne Tigers at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Since Nic was cheering for the Slingers, obviously I had to root for the Tigers. Besides, I really loved my one year stay in Melbourne and is still a big softie for anything Melbourne related. Further more, I am not sure if the Slingers can be called a Singaporean team since there is only one Singaporean looking guy among them, and he’s probably from China.

Nic’s team got a lot of unfair homeground support. The commentator was obviously a Slinger guy, the crowd was a 98% Slinger crowd, they even had their own sexy cheerleaders.

Still, it was the Slingers’ first season in the NBL, so we Tigers beat them 117-94. Ha!  :razz:

    That guy is one of the three Singaporeans in the team. Two of them are local Chinese and the other is a local Indian.
