A friend of mine have gone to the UK to be a plumber. Another one have gone to the UK to be a musician. Guess which one stayed on? 
Obviously the plumber.
In some parts of the world, plumbing is a very lucrative profession. According to the IPHE, the average self-employed plumber earns between £30,000 - £40,000 a year while the average plumber employed by a company earns approximately £25,000 after a couple of years experience.
Not every one can be a plumber though. You have to sit in a class and study hard to get your certifications. I felt proud of my friend that he succeeded because years ago, he wouldn’t have been interested. After his plumbing training, he is now working as a Plumber’s Apprentice.
