No Future At All!

Do you remember a time when every one was graduating high school and they all knew exactly where they were headed? I was not one of them.

I vaguely remember a teacher persuading us to head towards engineering colleges. She gave us an estimated figure on how many engineers the world will need by the time we graduate, it was a some huge number.

I was one of those with no future at all because instead of engineering, I got myself an Arts degree in Advertising. I rebelled with fear and trembling because deep down, I worried that my teacher might be right, that I will have no future at all.

US News and World Report has ranked Kettering University as “the #1 University in the nation for Industrial Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering” in its annual “America’s Best Colleges Guide for 2008″.

Kettering’s class leading engineering co-op programs places students in companies in their freshman year and rotate them between school and their co-op job alternating every 3 months to gain practical experience from the beginning of their Kettering education.

What do you think? Should I have pursued an engineering? I think I’ll rather take the shortcut - marry an engineer.

Hmm this is a p**d p*st? Anyway not everyone is suitable for engineering, like not everyone is suitable for medicine or for arts or for business. So I guess there is no regret not choosing engineering. After all, you should study something you are interested in.

Chinese has a wording, ‘hang hang zhu juan yuen’, means that whichever line we choose, there will be a future for us. But, once the opportunity come, one must know how to grab it… then, waiting for the result lahhh. Agreed !!
