HP Singapore is having a contest and all you’ll need to do is comment on a blog post for a chance to win. The HP TouchSmart PC is worth SGD$1999. Think of how many hours you’ll need to clock in the office to earn $1999. It is worth spending some time and effort to win on this.
Here are my eight tips to help you win.
Tip Number One: Obey the rules
The first rule: Answer the question, “What will your life be like with the HP TouchSmart?”
Some commenters wrote creative replies, “Ooh I wanna touch, I wanna be touched by HP.” Well, that’s interesting, but your entry will probably be disqualified as it does not even answer the question!
Tip Number Two: Be based in Singapore
This contest is only open to Singapore-based readers. If you are not based in Singapore, get your relatives and friends who are based in Singapore to join. I’m sure they will be glad to share with you the prize. *cough*
Tip Number Three: Comment as early as possible
The best comment wins but if similar comments are found, the earliest comment will be selected to win.
Tip Number Four: Know what HP likes about the TouchSmart PC
May be your favorite feature is that the HP TouchSmart is piano black in color, but a comment based on how that will change your life will not get you very far. HP Singapore will most likely create a press release to plaster the winning comment all over the newspapers, so think of what they would like the whole world to know about the Touch Smart PC.
Tip Number Six: Be creative, innovative, productive AND interesting
I didn’t come up with these four words above, HP Singapore did. A comment like “I’ll hang it above my bed and watch movies all night,” is interesting, innovative and creative, but not productive at all. Think of how the HP TouchSmart will help you perform better at work, educate your children, enhance your relationship with your spouse, build relationship with your friends, increase your work-life balance, et cetera.
Tip Number Seven: Make extra effort
Nobody ever said that your comment must be limited to any specific number of words or even that they must only be in words. If you’re used to posting one-worded comments on blogs, you’ll need to adjust to writing something more substantial.
Tip Number Eight: Try Again
Nobody ever said you can only comment once. If after commenting you thought of a better idea on how the the TouchSmart PC will change your life, don’t be afraid to try again. Just don’t keep spamming the blog wit multiple comments one after another. You’ll lose popularity and even though the judges try not to be biased, who knows if that may affect how they view the quality of your comment.
PS: This contest is not being held on my blog. It is being held on a few Singapore-based blogs including Nic’s blog.

On the Second Amendment, Don’t Believe Obama!
The presidential primary season is finally over, and it is now time for gun owners to take a careful look at just where apparent nominee Barack Obama stands on issues related to the Second Amendment. During the primaries, Obama tried to hide behind vague statements of support for “sportsmen” or unfounded claims of general support for the right to keep and bear arms. But his real record, based on votes taken, political associations, and long standing positions, shows that Barack Obama is a serious threat to Second Amendment liberties. Don’t listen to his campaign rhetoric! Look instead to what he has said and done during his entire political career.

Don’t worry, I won’t believe him. I believe in Jesus Christ.
I like those tips. Going to forward them to all my friends (HP) users) of course.
Cheers,
