Organic Shampoo for my Hair

Ever since I’ve cut my hair, mother have been very conscious. Every day, she will stare at the mop of black and demand,

“Why haven’t you washed it yet?”

“Why wash if it isn’t dirty Ma?” I would tease her back.

The truth is, when my hair was long, I would shampoo twice a week. Now that my hair is short, I still intend to shampoo twice a week.

During my last trip to Thailand, I got for myself a real treat. I bought a bottle of Organic Olive Oil Shampoo and a jar of Organic Olive Oil Hair Treatment. You can find this range at the larger Boots Pharmacy outlets.

The bad thing about this shampoo is that it doesn’t lather well. It produces just a trickle of foam. Since my hair was thick and long, I often felt like I wasn’t giving it a deep enough cleanse. I ended up squeezing out shampoo from my mother’s Pantene.

Now that my hair is short, I will be back to using this low-suds shampoo. You can’t believe how much I am looking forward to this. You wouldn’t believe how precious an organic product makes me feel. :)

The nice things about it:-

  • Its labels are printed with soy ink
  • It is packaged in recycleable PET plastic

The important thing is that it is good for your head. Here’s how;

  • It is free of parabens. Parabens are preservatives that have been found inside breast tumors.
  • It is free of ethoxylate
  • It is free of synthetic dyes and fragrances
  • It is made with vegetable-based surfactants
  • It is made with certified organic ingredients

I especially love that it is creamy and that it smells like my favorite cuisine – Italian food! Well okay, it smells of olive oil and it makes me smell like olive oil. Hey, that’s a natural fragrance that I like!
