Who is your best friend? Mine is definitely Dino the German Shepherd Guard Dog. I truly believe that animals are specially created to be our companions and although I have many pet dogs which I enjoy very much, Dino is the one who tries hardest to be good. He’s touched my heart.
In Chengdu, I was thrilled that a child is discovering the kind of blindly loyal friendship that you can only get from animals. A little boy from the village had just given the little boy from the city (in grey jacket with blue words) a new born pup!
He let me cradle the month-old puppy for a while, the little pup is so trusting, he decided to close his eyes and snooze right in my arms! I was so close to stealing it from the little boy.
The boy named the pup Watermelon Knife because we got to know the little children from the village through a game called “Chop, Chop, Chop the Watermelon; I Chop the Watermelon In Half!”
It was fun!
