Dino the German Shepherd was walking the plank again (refer to the photo in my previous post) when the plank shook and his hind leg slipped off the plank. His whole body slipped down with him and with his his front paws, he desperately clawed the plank!

He was hanging between the water and the blue sky and he started to cry. We rushed to see what he was crying about, when we saw, we stopped to laugh. Instead of helping him, the construction workers tipped the plank and off he fell into the water with a big, loud SPLASH!

He swam around in circles until my brother helped to pull him up a little so that he could push himself out of the pond. Meanwhile, Kylie the Labrador Retriever came to bark at my brother as though she was angry with him. Unlike Dino, Kylie loves to swim so my brother let her into the water gently.

She had a good time floating and paddling about, she was as graceful as a swan. When she looked a little out of breath, my brother helped to pull her up the way he helped to pull Dino up.

Unlike Dino who immediately pushed himself up, Kylie hung in this position for a long time.

We laughed at her while she patiently waited to be fully rescued. She finally realized we were not going to be much help so with a huge sigh, she pushed with her hind paw and got herself out of the pond.

There’s a dry and happy dog.
