Planting New Gardens

My Dad gave me an opportunity to live

Every Sunday, I become deep and reflective like a river infested with crocodiles. :D

Okay, may be not really, but I do try to tone down the mischievousness to become a lady of elegance and gentility to write a blog post that honors my father.

This is part of Sunday Sharing, a group blogging project that a few friends thought of. The topic for this week is a precious and memorable gift my dad had given me.

I had a hard time blogging this because from the countless adoring pet dogs to the horribly expensive education to the gorgeous private bedroom of my own, there are just too many valuable gifts!

But as I thought of all these gifts, I realized there is one I had never thought of as a gift at all. This is absolutely priceless and came before any other gifts, which is,

the gift of life

I had always assumed procreation came naturally with marriage. I didn’t know that having children is such a huge responsibility that many married couples are dreading it.

Right now, the decision to conceive a child is so rare, it is a miracle when it happens.

Not only that, it is a miracle that after conceiving the child, the man and woman decide to allow the child to float and kick in the womb for a whole nine months until he is born as a healthy and living child.

To my Dad who gave me life by allowing these miracles to happen,

Thank you!

I’M LOVING IT!

I want a hundred more years of living!
