I didn’t enjoy The Debutante Divorcee. It felt like reading long descriptions of what people were wearing to parties. I would rather see pictures of what people are wearing to parties.

I read so much, I must be very deep
After 16 long pages, I chucked it aside and took on “Knitting Under the Influence” which is kinda fun and easy to read.
It is about three smart and beautiful women who live in Los Angeles and loves to knit.
Kathleen’s Story
looks like a supermodel and likes to get drunk at parties. One day, she decided that she might as well hitch a rich guy to marry since she gets bored with every guy quickly. Her plan almost succeeded.
She flirted with the son of her billionaire boss at work and was flown to Hawaii for the wedding. However, the sweet heir had planned a surprise for her. He flew in her best friends just to surprise her.
The night before the wedding, the girls stayed up late and got drunk. And when they were drunk they told Kathleen that she shouldn’t marry him because she doesn’t love him. Kathleen admitted that she finds him utterly boring.
The next day, she boldly announced to her fiance that the wedding is off, and this is at breakfast just before the wedding was about to begin!
Kathleen then flew back to LA and got together with the old man who lives in the apartment above hers.
Lucy’s Story
Lucy is the kind of girl who spends hours and hours dressing up and putting on her make up before she goes anywhere. Her boyfriend have never ever seen her without make up before. Perhaps Lucy is insecure because she used to be really overweight during her high school years.
When the book started, she was dating an exceptionally intelligent scientist who is also exceptionally obnoxious. He thinks he is smarter than the rest of the world. He thinks people who love animals are stupid. He thinks people who believe in God are idiots. He thinks every one is wrong except him.
One day, Lucy’s colleague gave her a little kitten which she fell in love with. He couldn’t believe how stupid she is so he lost all respect for her and dumped her.
To make matters worse, the kitten got lost and Lucy couldn’t call him for help so she had to call her nerdy colleague who gave her the little kitten. He came over as soon as possible, she wept on his shoulders, and eventually they both found the kitten. Well, you can guess what happened. They fell in love and lived happily ever after.
Sari’s Story
Sari is a therapist for autistic children. She dearly loves all the children under her care. One day, the handsome jock from her high school came to seek her for help as his son is autistic.
Sari tried to be professional so she tried her best to help his little boy but she hates the boy’s father with a vengeance. She couldn’t shake off her memories of high school days, of how this guy had cruelly bullied her older and autistic brother.
But what do you know, buried under the mounds of hate is a river of deep, deep love. After a long time of rejecting his advances, one day she gave up resisting and they kissed. Passionately.
They became a happy couple and was even able to help his son and her older brother to become mature and responsible individuals.
So, I’ve read the entire book and edited out the sex scenes.
Hope you appreciate all the work I’m doing!
