7 Days Since the Dog Disappeared. I Am Giving Up Soon.

It’s been 7 days since Kero disappeared. I have pretty much given up on finding that girl.

There are only two possibilities now.  Either out of fear, stressed, hunger and exhaustion, she have collapsed and died; or she have been caught by someone else. For her sake, I hope she was caught by someone else. I feel so angry with her for running out.

If she had been caught by someone else, I hope she was caught by someone kind. There are some people who are so kind, they catch other people’s dogs to house them and protect them until they have found the owner of the pet. I hope that is the case.

I went to the SPCA and saw that they were offering cash reward for information about cat mutilators. I am not sure if people who catches other people’s dogs are sane.

If she have been caught by someone else, I hope the person is patient and loves dogs. Kero, as sweet as her face is, is a destructive dog. She gets separation anxiety and if you so much as jingle your keys indicating that you are leaving the house, you can kiss your furniture goodbye.

When I think of how well I know that dog, I want her back all the more.

Not many people know that Kero’s right ear is prone to infection and that she likes getting it cleaned every once in a while. She gets a thrill whenever you insert a cotton bud into her ear and twist it about.

Not many people know that Kero loves her soft toys, soft blanket and pillows. In the day, she enjoys napping in her tub. She is not allowed onto my bed but when she knows I’ve fallen asleep, she’ll jump in and make herself at home. I have often woken up with her snuggled under my blanket while my own toes have fallen off from frost bite.

Not many people know that while Kero is unquestioningly obedient in the day, she is a thief by night. Food on the dining table or kitchen counter top is not safe from her. After gorging, she will vomit, leaving a nice mess to mop the moment you wake up.

Not many people know that Kero is a little obsessive-compulsive too, she dislikes activities that gets her unclean. When she goes for a walk, she prefers to walk on the concrete path rather than on the muddy grass. She dislikes swimming and walking on sandy shores.

Kero is a tough dog to care for but having said that, if you want to return that rascal, I will take her back, no questions asked. You will even receive a reward.

    1. Please don’t give up!

My friend took one month to find her dog who was actually taking refuge in an old, abandoned swimming pool.

    3. Pls don’t give up! It’s just been a week. You never know if Kero is somewhere that u haven’t searched yet just waiting for you to appear.

      • It’s just that I’ve run out of places to search. I am at a loss as to where to go as every block and park around here have been searched and searched.

    4. woah..hang in there man..serious..hang in there…and all the best for in your search..

    5. Thanks everyone, you have been so encouraging to me. But honestly, where do you go if you have scrubbed the entire Bedok North and Bedok South?

    6. Dear Cheng Leng, I pray for the safe return of Kero. I know it must have been painful to endure this stage – stay strong and keep looking.

    7. sorry to hear this…
hopefully there’s some good samaritan out there already bring her home…

but i thought dogs have da ability to find their own way home by sniffing at their smell?

      • Hi Annant,

Thanks for the well wishes. It was raining heavily when she ran out so I assume the rain must have washed off all trace of scent. Kinda like Hansel and Gretel, you know.

    8. I can understand what you are feeling rite now. With her memory flashing in your brain now and than and making it more difficult.

But tell me what you will get if you will give up. Certainly she is not looking like as street dog. So if she lost the path than there is bright chances that some one took her and giving food and all.

Just prepare a plan of search … location wise. Carry COLOUR photograph of her and ask.

I am sure you will found her. God bless her … :)

    9. Hey – just to let you know my thoughts are with you in this time of anxiety. My wife and I have a bunny (Bunz) we love so dearly and cannot images if she was out of our lives. I know you must be feeling the same. Take heart – I will pray for you.
